Advanced Non-Surgical Treatment in Ohio — Welcoming Patients Nationwide
If you have persistent heel pain or plantar fasciitis despite conservative care, Orthotripsy™ may be a non-surgical option worth exploring.
Dr. Vincent J. Staschiak evaluates chronic heel pain and offers a focused shockwave treatment protocol for appropriately selected patients.
NO SURGERY | ONE TREATMENT SESSION | NO SURGICAL DOWNTIME
For qualifying patients, an in-person examination and treatment may be available on the same day. Suitability is determined at the examination; scheduling and temporary activity restrictions may affect your plans.
The Treatment
Orthotripsy™ is our focused shockwave treatment for selected patients with chronic plantar fasciitis and heel pain.
It uses focused extracorporeal shock waves directed at the treatment area. Shockwave treatments differ in how energy is delivered; during your evaluation, we can discuss whether this approach fits your diagnosis.
Why Choose Dr. Staschiak?
Focused and radial shockwave methods differ in how acoustic energy is delivered. The choice of treatment depends on the diagnosis and clinical circumstances.
Acoustic energy is directed to a selected area, with treatment settings chosen by the clinician.
For appropriately selected patients, our Orthotripsy™ protocol is performed in one treatment session. Evaluation, treatment and follow-up may require separate appointments.
No surgical incision or surgical recovery is involved. Temporary soreness or activity restrictions may still occur.
Travelers can discuss scheduling with the office. Same-day examination and treatment may be possible when clinically appropriate and available.

Patient Evaluation
Our heel-pain program evaluates persistent heel pain and chronic plantar fasciitis. A similar symptom can have more than one cause, so an examination comes before any treatment recommendation.

Individual Guidance
Eligibility depends on your diagnosis, medical history, previous treatments and clinical evaluation. The team can review your symptoms and explain whether Orthotripsy™ or another option is appropriate for you.
Request an evaluationCare Pathway
The process begins with an in-person examination and evaluation. For appropriately selected patients, our Orthotripsy™ protocol is performed in one treatment session. We will discuss the procedure, schedule and follow-up instructions with you. The initial examination and treatment may be scheduled separately.
After Your Visit
Orthotripsy™ does not involve a surgical incision or a prolonged surgical recovery. Our patients can generally walk and go home in their shoes the same day. Temporary restrictions on strenuous or high-impact activity may still apply. Your clinician will explain which activities to limit and for how long based on your individual treatment plan.
Treatment Choices
Conservative care, shockwave procedures and surgery involve different methods and follow-up needs. Focused shockwave treatment directs energy to a selected area without an incision; radial shockwave treatments deliver energy differently. Your diagnosis and treatment history help determine which options should be discussed. No single option is right for every patient.
Clinical Research
Published trials and reviews have studied extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) for chronic plantar fasciitis. Some report improvements in heel pain compared with placebo; results vary with patient selection, equipment, energy settings and treatment schedules. These studies are not evidence of a specific outcome for an individual patient or proof of results from our Orthotripsy™ protocol.

They may be scheduled on the same day for qualifying patients, but treatment cannot be guaranteed in advance. Dr. Staschiak must first examine you and determine whether it is appropriate; appointment availability also matters.
